KazNU holds summer camp for Chinese students
A group of students from the People's Republic of China arrived at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. to participate in a summer camp. During the week, 37 students and 3 teachers from 10 universities in Xi'an will get acquainted with the rich history and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. Participants will also learn about the activities and history of the creation of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This initiative was the result of successful cooperation between KazNU and the Northwestern Polytechnical University of China. Universities support the exchange of teachers and students through the academic mobility program. Currently, a branch of the Northwestern Polytechnical University operates on the basis of KazNU.
"Our goal is to acquaint foreign students with the history of Kazakhstan, to tell more about the country's universities. And, of course, to attract and interest them to enter our master's program. In this camp, special attention is paid to history and culture," said Dean of the Faculty of history Baygunakov Dosbol.
In addition, according to the organizers, students will visit other universities in Almaty, museums, historical sites and recreation areas.
One of the participants of the camp, student Wendy, shared her impressions: "I am very glad that I came to Kazakhstan, especially to KazNU. The history of this place is very interesting, and this trip made a special impression on me."
