Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Industry and Construction held a meeting with EITI International Secretariat
On 28 November, a pre-validation meeting organised by the EITI International Secretariat took place. During the meeting, representatives of the National Council, chaired by Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Iran Sharkhan, discussed the results of Kazakhstan's previous validation, key issues of the upcoming validation, as well as the relevance of implementing corrective actions, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To coordinate the implementation of the EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative), the country has a National Stakeholder Council for EITI Implementation.
The EITI commits all implementing countries to follow a single global standard. Validation, a quality assurance mechanism adopted by the EITI, assesses implementing countries for compliance with the EITI Standard. Kazakhstan's next Validation is scheduled for 1 April 2024.
