Kazakhstan's Ministry of Tourism and Sports has started the  preparations for the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, set to take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy,El.kz reports. 

Currently, the list of primary contenders for Olympic qualification in winter sports is being clarified. Individualized training plans have been approved for each athlete, including the comprehensive strategies based on the best international practices and scientific methodologies.

Every athlete is receiving the support, which includes necessary equipment, medical assistance, psychological support, and consultations with nutritionists and physicians. Provisions are also being made for specialized sports equipment and, where required, travel arrangements for personal coaches.

Furthermore, athletes' physical and functional conditions are regularly monitored through the Performance Hub platform, with training cycles planned according to scientific data. This approach aims to boost training efficiency and minimize the risk of injuries.

To guarantee high-quality preparation for the Games, specific objectives have been set for national sports federations, regional sports authorities, and Ministry-affiliated organizations. These mandates include ensuring athletes' participation in training camps, the timely provision of equipment and medical services.

The Ministry's comprehensive efforts are focused on empowering Kazakhstan's athletes to achieve top results at the upcoming Winter Olympics.
