Kazakhstan's Alexei Golubev became the world champion in Counter Strike in Brazil, the El.kz news agency reports.
On November 13, Rio de Janeiro hosted the final of the IEM Rio Major 2022 - perhaps the most important tournament of the second half of this year in Counter Strike.
The victory with a score of 2:0 on the cards was won by the Russian team Outsiders. The eSports team includes Kazakhstan's Alexey Golubev. By the way, the coach of the team is also our countryman Dastan Akbayev.
The championship was held from October 31 to November 13. The total prize fund of the tournament amounted to 1.25 million dollars. The Outsiders team earned $ 500,000 for the victory and a direct invitation to the Intel Extreme Masters tournaments in Katowice for 2023 and the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, which will be held in Abu Dhabi.
