Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of Capital

The population of the city as of May 1, 2022 is 1 million 257.6 thousand people. Over the past year, the number of residents of Nur-Sultan has increased by 58.5 thousand people. That is, on average, every week the population grows by more than 1.1 thousand people. And that's just official.
Everyone's goals for moving are different. Including for money. The average salary in the capital is 28.4% more than the national average - in January-March 2022 it amounted to 366.5 thousand tenge. But it is not growing as fast as the average for Kazakhstan - 19.2% per year against the republican 23.7%. Medium and large enterprises pay even more - 378.3 thousand tenge.
But large and medium-sized businesses cannot provide work for everyone – it is not growing so fast. The number of personnel in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 248.4 thousand people, which is only 2.3% more than a year earlier. But there are few unemployed (officially registered) in Nur-Sultan - 4,783 people or 0.8% of the labor force (the lowest figure in Kazakhstan).
