The new structure will be engaged in supporting talents, developing infrastructure and promoting Kazakh projects abroad, El.kz reports.

At a government meeting, Kazakh Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva announced the creation of the Creative Industry Development Fund.

A corporate fund will become a legal entity contributing to the development of this area, which will operate in four key areas.

The first direction will be the identification of talents. The Foundation will organize competitions, creative marathons, mobile production centers, as well as search for promising projects in the regions.

The second area will be development - the development of creative startups. The fund will support entrepreneurs in commercializing ideas, attracting investments and their further scaling.

The third area is the creation of infrastructure. It is planned to develop a network of creative hubs, organize permanent art venues, as well as simplified access to state property for the needs of creative projects.

The fourth area is export promotion. The fund will help domestic creative industries enter the international market, develop marketing and PR, and ensure copyright protection.

The fund will be financed by deductions in the amount of 3% from the activities of the national lottery operator. One of the key mechanisms will be the development of venture investment in the field of creative industries.
