Kazakhstan to develop unified information system of water resources

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the National Company "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary", is working on the creation of a unified information system for water resources. It will contain information on the state of the country's water facilities,  El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.

The system will make it possible to monitor the distribution and use of the country's water resources up to the end user.

"Digitization of water resources is important. Today, work is underway to digitalize irrigation networks in several regions of Kazakhstan. In the future, it is planned to integrate elements of digitalization into the general information system," said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
