Kazakhstan to approve activities related to creative industry

Astana hosted the meeting on the development of the creative industry of Kazakhstan. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Altai Kulginov, Minister of Culture and Sports Askhat Oralov, Minister of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin, Director General of the Presidential Television and Radio Complex Raushan Kazhibayeva, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Speakers, including representatives of the creative sphere, discussed measures for the development of cinema, music and other creative industries, shared their thoughts and ideas.   The Ministry of Culture and Sports also announced its plans.

In the first quarter of 2023, it is planned to develop, coordinate and approve a list of types of economic activity related to the creative industry, as well as criteria for assigning entrepreneurs to it. Another task is to create a fund to support creative industries. The third step is to draw up a list of legislative measures necessary for the development of the industry.
