Kazakhstan to allocate $1 mln in humanitarian aid to Palestinian people
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today about the allocation of humanitarian aid to Palestine at the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
He noted that the urgent task is to increase the role of mediation, since now there is a difficult situation.
- In the north, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, in the Middle East – between Israel and Palestine. Instability in Afghanistan continues. In the West, the problem of illegal migration is exacerbated. Today, the victims of the confrontation are civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially children and the elderly. The main task is to ensure their safety. In this regard, I have decided to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in the amount of $1 million," the Head of State said.
He stressed that the solution of pressing problems that have not been solved for decades through violence and terrorist acts is absolutely unacceptable.
«Kazakhstan strongly condemns such methods. An aggravation of the situation can lead to serious consequences. In this regard, we call for the resolution of any conflicts exclusively through peaceful negotiations and diplomatic dialogue. For us, preserving the territorial integrity of all states and non-interference in their internal affairs are key priorities. It is important to strictly comply with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and to comply with the norms of international law», President of Kazakhstan emphasized.
