Kazakhstan sends humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin visited the city of Kabul on a humanitarian and trade mission, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Boxes of medicines arrived by air. The main humanitarian cargo with a total volume of 5,403 tons (81 wagons) arrived by rail. Humanitarian aid consists of food products (canned milk, vegetable oil, flour, buckwheat).
"On the instructions of the President, we arrived in Afghanistan to transfer humanitarian aid to the Afghan people from the people of Kazakhstan. It is symbolic that our humanitarian mission takes place in the holy month of Ramadan, and in this blessed time for all Muslims, let me wish everyone peace and tranquility," Serik Zhumangarin emphasized.
During his visit to Afghanistan, the Minister of Trade and Integration met with the Acting Ministers of Trade and Industry, Foreign Affairs, Communications and Telecommunications, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar.
