Kazakhstan ranks among countries with a full-fledged peacekeeping contingent

The Head of State noted the importance of independent missions and announced a new stage in the development of the Kazakh army,El.kz  reports via Aqorda.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan's participation in peacekeeping operations is not only a strategic success, but also recognition by the international community. According to Kazakh leader, not every country is given such an opportunity, and for Kazakhstan this is a historic achievement.

"Last year, we took an important step: Kazakhstan conducted a peacekeeping operation for the first time. Thanks to the operation at the Golan Heights, our cooperation with the UN has reached a new level. Kazakhstan is ranked among the states with a full-fledged peacekeeping contingent," the Supreme Commander-in-Chief said.

The Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan remains the only country in Central Asia with such significant experience in the field of peacekeeping. He also emphasized that the work on the training of troops sent to missions deserved special recognition.

Head of State noted the importance to continue participating in missions and to introduce the experience gained into the national training system. This will strengthen the Armed Forces, ensure continuity and training of new personnel.

- You have gained a wealth of combat and moral experience. Now your task is to transfer this knowledge to others, integrate new skills into military training and thereby strengthen the army of Kazakhstan," the President emphasized.
