Kazakhstan participates in International Volunteer School of Organization of Turkic States
An International School for Young Volunteers among the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States is being held in Chüy Region in northern Kyrgyzstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
About 100 people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan take part.
The event also involved representatives of volunteer organizations, government agencies, international and non-governmental organizations and youth of the OTS countries.
The School provides unique opportunities to strengthen international cooperation and share best practices in the field of volunteering.
Within the framework of the School, participants will be able to receive education in the following areas:
- Development of cooperation and partnership between voluntary organizations.
- Emphasizing the importance of volunteerism in solving social, environmental and economic problems
- Formation of an active civil society and creation of conditions for attracting young people to volunteer activities.
