Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to launch tourist train between Astana and Samarkand

On the eve of Nauryz Meiramy, the national carrier launches tourist routes for those who want to spend the holiday on a trip, El.kz reports with reference to NC Kazakhstan temir zholy JSC.

The first option for the trip is "Keruen Express", following from Almaty through Turkestan, Tashkent, Samarkand, Taraz and back. The trip will last exactly a week: from March 21 to March 27, 2025. The second route, "Jibek Joly", is designed for six days - from March 20 to March 25, 2025 - and will end in Almaty, passing through Turkestan, Tashkent and Samarkand.

The organizers of the project, including Kazakhstan temir zholy JSC and Uzbek Railways, with the assistance of the Tourism Committee and the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Tourism, as well as with the support of the akimats of Taraz and the Turkestan region, offer a special tour package for passengers of both directions. Tickets are issued through travel agencies.
