Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan open new air route
On July 11, a new route T916 was opened, which passes through the airspace of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It is one of the additional routes for flights from Europe to Southeast Asia, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the RSE KAZAERONAVIGATSIA.
Since its opening, the route has been operated 19 flights from Europe to Southeast Asia.
The new route has already been used by such airlines as Lufthansa Cargo (Germany), Cargolux (Luxenburg), Cargolux Italy (Italy), Nomad aviation (Switzerland), Western Global Airlines (USA), Aerologic Cargo Airlines (Germany).
The total length of the T916 highway is 2187 km, of which 437 km pass over the Republic of Uzbekistan, the remaining 1750 km over Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is worth noting that the new air traffic service route T916 was opened at the suggestion of airlines and the air navigation provider Uzbek State Unitary Enterprise Center “Uzaeronavigation”. Previously, this route was included in the ICAO catalog of preferred routes.
The new route will increase the attractiveness of the Kazakh sky for foreign airlines, and will also help reduce the load on air traffic controllers in the South Kazakhstan.
