Kazakhstan and Turkey to cooperate in plant quarantine

Kazakhstan and Turkey cooperate in the field of quarantine and plant protection, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Senators considered and approved the Law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on Cooperation in the Field of Quarantine and Plant Protection".
The document is aimed at ensuring phytosanitary safety and preventing the spread of quarantine pests in the territory of both countries.
"The considered agreement provides for the formation of a legal framework governing joint activities in the field of plant quarantine between Kazakhstan and Turkey. The Agreement provides for specific measures to ensure phytosanitary safety and prevent the spread of quarantine pests. In general, we hope that the approved law will contribute to strengthening cooperation between our states in these areas," Maulen Ashimbayev said.
