Kazakhstan and Tatarstan expand cooperation in agricultural sector
Vice-minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Amangaliy Berdalin held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
As part of the Tatarstan delegation, representatives of veterinary services, agro-industrial companies and agricultural producers arrived in Kazakhstan. Their visit was aimed at studying Kazakhstan's experience in the field of beef cattle breeding, agricultural insurance and the development of the agro-industrial complex.
Amangaliy Berdalin stressed that the agricultural sector is one of the key areas of bilateral cooperation. For 11 months of 2024, the trade turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan amounted to 61.1 mln US dollars, which is 3.7% more than in the same period in 2023.
Both sides expressed interest in further increasing the volume of trade in agricultural products.
Marat Zyabbarov confirmed the readiness of Tatarstan to deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan in the agro-industrial complex.
As part of the work program, members of the delegation have already got acquainted with the activities of the Meat Union of Kazakhstan, visited livestock complexes in the Abay region, and also plan to inspect farms in the Akmola region.
