Kazakhstan and South Korea discuss cooperation in consular sphere
Director of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Akataev held consular consultations with Director for Overseas Koreans and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Kim Mincheol, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the 7th round of consultations on consular issues between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the parties highly appreciated the level of bilateral relations, including cooperation in the consular and legal sphere.
The parties discussed issues of protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the two countries, as well as topical aspects of current Kazakh-Korean relations in the legal sphere, including illegal labor migration of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to South Korea.
In particular, based on mutual interest in regulating the processes of attracting and using labor, taking into account the situation on the labor market, the Korean side expressed its readiness to start the negotiation process to attract Kazakh labor within the framework of the system of employment of foreigners ("System of labor permits").
Following the talks, the parties expressed their readiness to hold the next meeting in Astana.
