Kazakhstan and Slovenia intend to develop inter-parlamentary Cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovenia Daniyar Sarekenov met with the Speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Slovenia Urška Klakočar Zupančič, El.kz cites MFA.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Sarekenov told about the political and socio-economic transformations in Kazakhstan, spoke about the need to intensify interaction between the representative bodies of the two countries, and informed about the updated composition of the friendship group with Slovenia in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, Klakočar Zupančič emphasized that she considers Kazakhstan as a key partner in Central Asia, welcomed the opening of the Kazakh Embassy in Ljubljana and announced plans to re-establish the parliamentary friendship group for cooperation with Kazakhstan.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Slovenia conveyed her best wishes to the leadership of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and expressed interest in establishing direct contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
