Kazakhstan and Qatar intend to exchange experience on free zones

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar Arman Issagaliyev met with the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Free Zones Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, El.kz cites MFA.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the activities of free economic zones in the two countries, development plans and issues of exchanging experience. The Kazakh diplomat provided detailed information on the features, participants, legal regimes and advantages of special zones in the country.

Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani said that within the framework of programs aimed at developing Qatar’s free zones, cooperation is being carried out with interested parties in several important areas. In this regard, he stated that Qatar attaches particular importance to establishing a mutually beneficial partnership with Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to take specific measures to strengthen cooperation on the mutual promotion of free economic zones and considered a plan of joint activities.
