Kazakhstan and Poland are ready to develop cooperation in the sphere of religion
On the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Warsaw, Mufti of Poland and Chairman of the Highest Board of Muslim Religious Union Tomasz Miśkiewicz is on a visit to Kazakhstan on October 10-13, El.kz cites MFA.
Within the framework of the visit Tomasz Miśkiewicz met with the Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Spiritual Board of the Muslims, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly. The parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland in the field of religion. Tomasz Miśkiewicz highly appreciated Kazakhstan’s model of interreligious and interconfessional dialogue. In this context, special attention was paid to further promotion of initiatives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
As a result of the negotiations, a Memorandum on Islamic Cooperation between the Kazakhstan’s Spiritual Board of the Muslims and the Muslim Religious Union of Poland was signed. This document is aimed at the exchange of experience, as well as, taking into account friendly relations of the peoples of the two countries, at the establishment of long-term cooperation in the religious sphere.
