Kazakhstan and Norway Agreed to Promote Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Adil Tursunov held a meeting with Siv Mossleth, a member of the Storting (Parliament) and Chair of the Norwegian delegation to the Organization on Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly, El.kz cites MFA.

Ambassador briefed the Norwegian parliamentarian on development of the New Kazakhstan, implementation of political and economic reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Astana's foreign policy and the perspectives of Kazakh-Norwegian cooperation.

Adil Tursunov and Siv Mossleth noted the importance of the inter-parliamentary diplomacy between Astana and Oslo on bilateral level and in the framework of multilateral organizations, including the OSCE.

The two sides agreed to continue contacts in the future in order to develop interaction between the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the Storting of Norway.
