Kazakhstan and North Macedonia strengthen cooperation at level of capital cities

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in North Macedonia Satybaldy Burshakov met with Mayor of Skopje city Danela Arsovska, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
During the meeting, Ambassador briefed the Mayor on the results of Kazakhstan's socio-economic development in 2024 and the progress of political reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as well as prospects for expanding Kazakhstan-Macedonian cooperation.
The Ambassador expressed readiness to establish trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the possibility of establishing twinning relations between Skopje and Astana.
He also emphasized the importance of the local administration’s contribution to promoting sustainable development in the capital and fostering a comprehensive dialogue with foreign partners.
D.Arsovska welcomed the opening of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Skopje, noting that this event would be an important step towards deepening bilateral cooperation, expanding economic and cultural ties, and opening new prospects for interaction between our countries at the capital and regional level.
The head of the municipality spoke about the activities of the local government, its future plans and proposed the initiative to hold Kazakhstan Culture Days in Skopje.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to develop practical cooperation, emphasizing support of mutual initiatives aimed at strengthening international relations.
