Kazakhstan and Latvia strengthen trade and economic cooperation
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia Dauren Karipov met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Latvia Viktors Valainis,El.kz cites MFA.
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the context of the upcoming visit to Riga of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabaev, as well as the next meeting of the Kazakh-Latvian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, scheduled for May 15 and 16 of this year respectively.
In addition, the interlocutors stressed mutual interest in increasing the volume of Kazakhstan's cargo transit through Latvia and the implementation of joint projects in free economic zones of the Republic of Latvia with the subsequent export of finished products to the European market.
