Kazakh tennis player achieves success at prestigious tournament in Egypt

Tennis player from Kazakhstan Sonya Zhienbayeva ranked 105th in the junior world ranking reached the finals of ITF Juniors J300 tournament in Cairo, El.kz reported, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.

In the singles, Sonya Zhiyenbaeva competed with Monika Stankiewicz from Poland (27 ITF Juniors) and lost with a score of 4:6, 6:1, 4:6. In doubles, the Kazakh duo met with Russian tennis player Daria Egorova and Belarusian athlete Yulia Perepyokhina, losing with a score of 3:6, 1:6.

Sonya Zhiyenbaeva and Asylzhan Arystanbekova remain in Egypt and will soon take part in the tournament of the first category - J500. After a successful performance in Cairo, they are preparing for new challenges on the tennis courts.
