The Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development Committee, Agibot company and the largest technical universities, including Satbayev University, the International University of Information Technologies (IITU), the Kazakh-British Technical University, Astana IT University signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Digital Almaty 2025 forum, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.
Based on the agreements reached, the universities will have equal opportunities to use Agibot's advanced technologies in the field of robotics.
Agibot produces humanoid robots and implements AI- based solutions in them. This approach will open up new perspectives for research and educational initiatives.
- Kazakhstani students will be able to participate in the assembly of robots and the integration of AI solutions. It is planned that universities, together with Agibot and under the coordination of the Ministry, will develop and implement R&D projects, creating new prospects for domestic science and technology, the report says.
According to the signed memorandums, Agibot plans to open its R&D center on the basis of the Alem.AI center. It was this international center that was presented by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev at the Digital Almaty 2025 forum as a key platform for research and implementation of AI solutions.
Alem.AI will become the main platform for research, start-ups and international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. The center is expected to increase the export of Kazakhstani AI solutions to $5 bln by 2029 and launch a new wave of technological and economic growth. One of the floors of the center will be dedicated to research R&D laboratories, where scientists and developers will be able to conduct scientific research and develop advanced AI solutions. These laboratories will become a key platform for supporting innovation and the implementation of research projects in the field of artificial intelligence, the press service noted.
