Kazakh-Russian center of advanced technologies in agro-industrial complex opened in Almaty

The center was opened as part of implementation of President's instructions with the support of the National Academy of Science Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Russian Academy of Sciences and leading research institutes of Kazakhstan and Russia, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Center of Advanced Technologies will operate in close cooperation with leading scientific institutions of both countries. It will provide a platform for the exchange of experience, the development of innovative solutions and the introduction of high-tech approaches in agriculture.
The main activities of the center will be aimed at conducting joint research and projects in the field of genomic selection of crops, the development of digital technologies in the agro-industrial complex in order to introduce innovative technologies to improve the efficiency of agriculture, the introduction of sustainable agricultural technologies, including carbon-saving farming technologies to improve environmental safety and sustainability of agricultural production, the development of technologies for processing crops to create new products with high added value.
The center will also become a catalyst for the creation of new startups in the field of agricultural technologies, which will contribute to strengthening the scientific and technological potential of both Kazakhstan and Russia. Joint research and development will give a new impetus to innovative solutions that can significantly improve the food security and sustainability of agriculture in both countries.
