Kazakh President takes part in tree planting in Shymkent City Park

The President planted a tree in Shymkent City Park, El.kz reports via Aqorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited a new park near the Shymkent City microdistrict. The park with an area of over 20 hectares provides all conditions for outdoor leisure and cultural events. A fountain complex with an artificial pond, an amphitheater, landscaped alleys, workout areas and skate areas have been created here.

In order to improve the environmental situation and create a comfortable urban environment, it is planned to plant over one million trees in the coming years. Landscaping of 12 parks, as well as squares, the embankment of the Koshkar Ata River is underway. The construction of the Ecopark has begun on the site of the old landfill.

In addition, the President got acquainted with the project of the incineration plant of the Chinese investor Shaanxi Construction Engineering, capable of processing up to 1000 tons of household waste per day and producing electricity.
