Kazakh President receives Omani Foreign Minister
Welcoming Badr Al-Busaidi, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Oman a reliable and trusted partner of Kazakhstan and expressed his commitment to further developing cooperation between the two countries, El.kz cites Akorda.
The President noted that there is significant untapped potential for strengthening interaction between Kazakhstan and Oman, both at the bilateral level and within the context of regional and international agendas.
Taking the opportunity, the Head of State conveyed greetings to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and reaffirmed an invitation for him to visit Kazakhstan.
– Oman enjoys great respect in Kazakhstan. Your country generates immense interest among our citizens, including businessmen and cultural figures. Therefore, we need to provide a strong impetus to make our cooperation more multifaceted and fruitful, – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Foreign Minister thanked the President for the warm welcome, emphasizing that it reflects the high level of mutual respect between the two nations.
– We follow Kazakhstan’s development with great interest. We are deeply impressed by the large-scale reforms aimed at benefiting the country and its people. We are struck by the pace of Kazakhstan’s economic growth, its significant position in this region of the world, and the key role the country plays in strengthening good-neighborly ties for the sake of peace and security. We highly value your foreign policy, which is focused on upholding justice and promoting global peace, security, and prosperity, – the diplomat remarked.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, agriculture, culture and humanitarian efforts, as well as digitalization, were discussed. The establishment of direct air links between the two states was also addressed, as it would contribute to strengthening mutual ties.
Additionally, the interlocutors exchanged views on pressing issues of regional security and cooperation within multilateral organizations.
