Kazakh President lays flowers at the grave of Heydar Aliyev

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath to his grave, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The Head of State also laid flowers at the grave of Zarifa Aliyeva, wife of Heydar Aliyev.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath at the eternal flame at the Alley of Martyrs, where the heroic sons of the Azerbaijani people who died in the name of freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the country are buried.

The Alley of Martyrs, located on the territory of the Nagorny Park, is a mass grave in which national heroes - victims of the tragedy of 1990 and those who died in the battles for Karabakh - are buried.
