Kazakh President instructs Energy Minister to further develop of fuel and energy sector

The Head of State received Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the situation in the country's fuel and energy sector, the implementation of key projects and plans for the further development of the industry, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The President was informed about the stable operation of the country's oil refineries with total refining capacity of 17.6 million tons for 2025.

The Head of State was also informed about the development of the Concept for the Development of the Oil Refining Industry until 2040.

Following the meeting, the President gave a number of instructions for further development of the fuel and energy sector.

The Head of State stressed the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of planned infrastructure projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical and electric power industries. Special attention requires ensuring the country's energy security and stable supply of energy resources to the population and the economy.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to take a set of measures to improve the investment climate and attract strategic investors to geological exploration.
