Kazakh language in field of AI
Recently, an important meeting was held on the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan, which was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek and the head of the artificial intelligence department at Core42 Ali Khederi. The main topic of discussion was the training of specialists in the field of AI and the involvement of young people in Kazakhstan in world practice, El.kz reports.
Sayasat Nurbek's meeting with representatives of Core42, one of the leading companies in the field of AI and cloud computing, was devoted to discussing the development of AI in the country's universities. They discussed the training of software engineers, data processing specialists, the creation of a digital ecosystem of universities, as well as the exchange of experience in the creation of a national LLM (Large Language Model) model.
The head of the ministry told the foreign guests in detail about the activities of the department. He paid attention to such aspects as the opening of branches of foreign universities in Kazakhstan, the Bolashak international scholarship, the Coursera educational platform and the digitalization of universities. S. Nurbek stressed that artificial intelligence is an integral part of the modern world and is important for the field of higher education and science.
He emphasized the need to focus on youth and students, mentioning that global university rankings, such as the QS Ranking, now take into account the Digital Maturity Index of universities and their readiness for AI.
Ali Khederi expressed gratitude for the organization of the meeting and noted the high level of training of Kazakh students studying in Abu Dhabi. Representatives of Core42 emphasized the importance of the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the creation of the Kazakh LLM.
