Kazakhstan's junior epée fencing team won the World Cup in Manama, beating the French national team in the final, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the NOC of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakhstan team was represented by Kirill Prokhodov, Nurzhan Abzhanov Alexey Kasatkin, Gabidin Mustafin. In the quarterfinals, the Kazakh junior epée fencing team beat Saudi Arabia 45:36 and defeated China 45:25 in the semifinals.
In the final against France, Kazakhstan desperately sought a comeback and won gold with a score of 44:43.
