Kazakh Energy Minister discusses world energy outlook with Vice Chairman of S&P Global

Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev held talks with Vice Chairman of S&P Global Daniel Yergin as part of a working trip to the United States,El.kz reports.

The meeting took place on March 10, 2025 in Houston on the eve of the opening of the international energy conference CERAWeek 2025, which brings together the world's leading experts, investors and representatives of energy corporations.

The meeting focused on the prospects for the development of the global energy market and the role of Kazakhstan in ensuring energy security.

Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev noted that Kazakhstan is consistently implementing a policy of diversifying the energy balance and introducing the principles of sustainable development, relying on renewable energy sources, carbon neutrality and technological innovations.

In turn, Dr. Daniel Yergin emphasized the strategic importance of Kazakhstan as a key player in the energy sector and expressed confidence in further expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and S&P Global.

As part  of CERAWeek 2025 Kazakhstan will present its initiatives in the field of sustainable energy development, international partnership and the climate agenda.
