Kazakh citizen wanted for large scale fraud extradited from Serbia

45-year-old Kazakh citizen wanted for large scale fraud in the amount of more than 43 million tenge has been extradited from Serbia, El.kz reports.

The man has been on the international wanted list since 2017. According to the investigation, he posted an ad on the platform Kolesa.kz for the sale of special equipment at a reduced price. One of the citizens of Kazakhstan transferred an amount of over 43 million tenge. However, the promised equipment was never provided.

Kazakhstan's INTERPOL National Central Bureau established the location of the suspect in Serbia. In September 2023, he was detained, and extradited to Kazakhstan by the Prosecutor General's Office for further investigative actions.
