Kazakh athletes win medals at Asian Championships

The Asian Indoor Athletics Championships have started in Tehran, Iran, El.kz reports citing the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture.

On the first day of the competition, the treasury of the national team of Kazakhstan was replenished with three medals.

In the 60-meter hurdles, David Efremov became the champion of Asia (7.60 seconds).

In the shot put, Ivan Ivanov won a silver medal with a result of 19.08 meters.

In the 1500-meter race, Ayana Bolatbekkyzy closed the top three with a time of 4:37.20.

29 athletes from Kazakhstan take part in the continental championship. The championship will last until February 19.
