Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds talks with President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló as part of his official visit, El.kz reports. with reference to Akorda.
During the talks, the Head of Kazakhstan stressed the importance of Guinea-Bissau as a partner on the African continent.
“We are interested in strengthening bilateral relations. Our countries have similar views on international issues, and we are ready to expand cooperation in key international organizations, such as the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
The President also pointed to the potential for the development of cooperation in the field of agriculture, mining, digitalization, transport and logistics.
In his turn, Umaro Sissoco Embaló expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the countries.
“We highly appreciate our cooperation with Kazakhstan. Your country has vast experience, especially in technical education. We want to continue sending our students to study in Kazakhstan," the President of Guinea-Bissau said.
The heads of state also discussed topical issues of the global and regional agenda, indicating their readiness to further strengthen the partnership.
