Welcoming the Slovenian leader, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the visit of Nataša Pirc Musar opens up new opportunities for the development of Kazakh-Slovenian relations. He noted that Kazakhstan sees Slovenia as one of the key partners in the Balkan region and is ready to offer Slovenian entrepreneurs a number of attractive projects.
President Tokayev stressed that the volume of direct investment from Slovenia reached $200 million. 19 Slovenian enterprises in the field of telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering and renewable energy sources are successfully operating in the country.
Digitalization and innovation, transport and logistics, healthcare and tourism are also named promising areas for expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Nataša Pirc Musar, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that for 33 years of bilateral relations between the countries there has not been a single unresolved issue, which provides the basis for intensifying economic cooperation.
"Economic ties between our countries are developing, but I am sure that we can achieve even more. A large group of entrepreneurs arrived with me, who have already begun discussing joint projects with Kazakh partners. Political contacts and dialogue between presidents always open the door to successful business cooperation," the President of Slovenia said.
At the talks, an exchange of views also took place on topical international and regional issues.
