Job fair for seniors held in Astana

The Labor Mobility Cente provided seniors with the opportunity to find a job, El.kz reports.

A job fair was held in the capital, specially organized for citizens of retirement age. The event took place at the Center for Active Longevity of Almaty City, where 14 employers presented about 100 vacancies.

Olzhas Omar, Director of the Labor Mobility Center noted that many citizens of retirement age want to continue working, using their experience and knowledge to mentor and transfer skills to the younger generation. Employers actively collected resumes and contacts of candidates for subsequent discussion of their hiring.

Visitors to the fair noted its usefulness.

In the first hour, the event was attended by more than 100 people, many of whom received offers from employers or filled out resumes. Participants also had the opportunity to receive advice from specialists of the Labor Mobility Center.
