Investment opportunities of Kazakhstan and Moldova discussed at business forum
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moldova organized a Business Forum “Kazakhstan-Moldova: New Opportunities” in videoconference mode with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yerbol Karashukeev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Vladimir Bolea, as well as representatives of government agencies and business circles of the two countries, El.kz cites MFA.
Opening the Forum, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Almat Aidarbekov said that this event is being held for the first time and expressed the hope that it will serve as a platform for realization the potential of Kazakh-Moldovan cooperation, preparation for the implementation of the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, planned to be held in Astana.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Bolea noted that despite the current geopolitical situation in the Eastern Europe region, the Moldovan side intends to further develop bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan, which is confirmed by today's Business Forum. At the same time, Bolea, informing in more detail about the opportunities in Moldova, invited Kazakh businessmen to visit the country in order to get acquainted with its investment potential.
Minister Karashukeev spoke about the current development of the agro-industrial sector of Kazakhstan, the investment potential of this area, including the state support provided, exemption from the main types of taxes for enterprises engaged in agriculture. Karashukeev invited Moldovan businessmen to invest in the Kazakh economy.
Representatives of government agencies and business circles of the two countries who took part at the meeting made reports on investment potentials and prospects of cooperation. Of particular interest was the speech of Kazakh and German companies’ reps, who shared their plans for the investment to a glass factory in Moldova.
In general, the Forum gathered about 100 participants and aroused the genuine interest of businessmen of the two countries who intend to intensify their activities in Kazakhstan and Moldova.
