International Airport Nursultan Nazarbayev makes statement on implementation of aviation fuels
Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport JSC commented on the message of the Department of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the city of Nur-Sultan, which conducted an analysis of the state of competition in the retail market for the sale of aviation fuel for the period 2020-2021, EL.kz reports with reference to the press service of the airport.
“Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport JSC provides airfield and ground services to local and foreign carriers, including the sale of aviation fuels. At the same time, the share of the airport in the refueling of passenger flights is less than 3%. The airport sells aviation kerosene for cargo flights and small charters. The main airlines refuel their own aviation kerosene (Air Astana, Scat, etc.). Ticket pricing is not within the competence of the airport, this information can be provided by airlines that directly refuel aircraft with their own aviation kerosene. Due to the fact that the airport does not sell aviation kerosene for passenger flights, there is no impact of prices for aviation kerosene, which the airport sells, on the cost of air tickets," the press service of the airport said.
