Honorary consul of Kazakhstan appointed in Liechtenstein
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland and concurrently to Liechtenstein Kairat Sarzhanov participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Liechtenstein, Nikolaus Wilhelm. Wilhelm is a partner at the law firm “Codex Treuhand” with many years of experience in corporate finance and asset management, El.kz cites MFA.
The event, held in anticipation of the upcoming anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on August 30, was attended by Ambassador Martin Frick, Head of the Office for Foreign Affairs of Liechtenstein, representatives of other government bodies, the city administration, the consular corps, business circles, and local media.
After congratulating Nikolaus Wilhelm on his appointment and presenting him with his consular patent, Ambassador Sarzhanov highlighted the warm relations between Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein, which are based on strong ties of friendship and mutual respect. He expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and developing the legal framework of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Frick expressed confidence that the activities of the Honorary Consulate would provide a boost to the development of partnership relations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment. He noted cooperation within the framework of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a promising area, given Liechtenstein’s plans to join the Swiss subgroup, of which Kazakhstan is a member.
In his turn, Honorary Consul Wilhelm expressed gratitude for the high level of trust shown by the Kazakh government and expressed his readiness to facilitate bilateral cooperation and protect the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens within his consular district.
