Hilton opens first hotel in Almaty region

Yermek Marzhikpayev, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan met with the director of the investment project for the construction of the Hilton hotel, Zhonghong LI, to discuss the prospects for strengthening the tourism potential of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of an investment project in the field of tourism, El.kz reports.

At the meeting, Marzhikpayev noted that the tourist flow between Kazakhstan and China is actively growing. In 2023, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Kazakhstan increased 20 times. The introduction of a visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and China last year allow travelers of both countries to move freely across borders for up to 30 days

The Hilton hotel will be the first hotel in the Almaty region. The project is set to attract international brands and promote the development of tourism infrastructure in the region.
