President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, welcoming the guest, noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the comprehensive strengthening of relations with Georgia, one of the key partners in the South Caucasus region. In his opinion, the ties of friendship and mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and Georgia serve as a solid basis for achieving significant success in deepening bilateral ties.

The Head of State stressed that the inter-parliamentary dialogue plays an important role in strengthening interstate contacts, and the Kazakhstan-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group can significantly contribute to expanding the horizons of cooperation.

According to the President, today Kazakhstan's business is represented in various sectors of the Georgian economy, contributing to the further expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Special attention was paid to strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations between our countries. Taking the opportunity, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the friendly Georgian people on the historic entry of the country's national team into the final part of the European Football Championship and wished them further success.

In turn, Shalva Papuashvili expressed gratitude to the Head of State and all the people of Kazakhstan for the warm welcome. He noted that his visit is a landmark event, as it is the first official visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Shalva Papuashvili reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to further strengthening relations with Kazakhstan. According to him, Tbilisi expects to deepen comprehensive ties with Astana, including in the field of transport and logistics cooperation. In particular, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament supported the initiative of the Head of our state on the joint development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
