Head of State receives Chairman of Board of Directors of “Samruk-Kazyna

The President of Kazakhstan received the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov, El.kz reports.

Nurlan Zhakupov presented the key results of the Fund's activities for the first half of 2024 and shared plans for the upcoming period.

Tthe Fund revenues amounted to 7.9 trillion tenge, which is 7% higher than planned. The Fund  stands as a catalyst for foreign direct investment and co-invests in projects of petrochemistry, energy, transport and logistics, mechanical engineering, digitalization together with foreign partners.

Nurlan Zhakupov also reported that the investment portfolio of the Samruk-Kazyna group includes over 130 projects worth 53.5 trillion tenge. It is expected that the implementation of megaprojects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, logistics industries and the mining industry will have a multiplier effect on the country's economy as a whole.

Particular attention was paid to the Foundation's charitable projects within the framework of corporate social responsibility. By the end of the year, it is planned to open 40 rehabilitation centers in the country.

The President outlined a number of specific tasks for the implementation of investment and social projects, as well as for further improvement of the Fund's work.
