Head of State held meeting with akims and heads of state bodies
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the participation of the Prime Minister, heads of state bodies, akims of regions and cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
During the event, topical issues of socio-economic development of the country's regions were considered. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the tasks set in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan, and the implementation of the President's instructions given previously.
In his speech, the Head of State noted that comprehensive political modernization is being carried out in the country.
"Its main directions were defined in the Address in March last year. The country has entered a new stage of its development. Large-scale reforms have been implemented during the year.
Several stages of political transformations have been carried out in order to bring the system of power in line with the new requirements. A National Kurultai has been established to discuss important issues. New ideological principles aimed at strengthening the foundations of statehood and unity of the people are proposed.
We began to celebrate Nauryz in a new way. The revival of the Republic Day was a historic step," the Head of State emphasized.
According to him, the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan are actively discussed not only in the country, but also abroad.
"We have clear and concrete plans for the future. The final stage in the renewal of the institutions of power will be the elections to the Mazhilis and maslikhats. Thus, the authorities will receive a mandate of confidence to continue comprehensive reforms.
The main task is to put forward new initiatives on the path of the country's development and their effective implementation," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
In his opinion, special attention should be paid to the preservation of social stability.
"For the development of the country, it is not enough to modernize only the political system. Reforms should, first of all, form a new political culture in society. At the same time, new values need to be affirmed. From now on, priority will be given, first of all, to the interests of the country and the rights of each person. With the deterioration of the geopolitical situation, the burden of responsibility of the state and citizens increases. One careless word, one rash decision can harm the country. The state, of course, guarantees freedom of speech. Stability will only be where there is law and order. This principle is common to all…..”the President said.
