Head of SCISP invited to take part in Astana International Forum
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Berik Aryn held a meeting with Raad AlBarakati, the Interim President and CEO of the Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP), El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of interaction between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, including ways to expand trade, economic, transport, logistics, cultural and humanitarian ties. AlBarakati noted the positive dynamics of the Kazakh-Saudi relations and expressed Center’s readiness to help strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of interstate collaboration through a comprehensive study of existing opportunities between the two countries, identifying priority areas and developing specific proposals.
In turn, Ambassador Aryn briefed about the key aspects of Kazakhstan’s comprehensive internal political and socio-economic modernization. He informed about the results of the implementation of the reforms initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, changes in legislation aimed at strengthening democratic processes in the country, as well as the results of the parliamentary elections held in March this year.
Ambassador handed over to the Head of the SCISP an invitation letter from Murat Nurtleu, the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, to take part in the Astana International Forum, el which will be held on June 8-9, 2023.
The parties also considered the possibility of establishing cooperation between the SCISP and Kazakh research institutions and, as a result of the meeting, agreed to coordinate efforts to expand mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
