In Shymkent, the head of the department of passenger transport and highways of the akimat was detained. This was announced by the head of the department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the city of Shymkent Dauren Yergarin, El.kz reports.
It is clarified that now Antikor is conducting a pre-trial investigation against the official. He is suspected of receiving a bribe in the amount of 13 million tenge from an entrepreneur for paying budget funds while subsidizing passenger transportation on socially significant routes of the metropolis
"With the approval of the court, the suspect was remanded in custody for a period of two months. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, other information under Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code is not subject to disclosure," Yergarin said.
