Festival of Korean culture to be held in Karaganda region
A visiting festival is timed to coincide with the 35th of the ethno-cultural association of Koreans of the Karaganda region, El.kz reports citing the akimat of the region.
"This festival is a unique opportunity for residents and guests of the city to get acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of the Korean people. The association is doing a lot of work aimed at developing and maintaining Korean culture in the region. Many events have been successfully organized, such as the celebration of Seollal, or Korean Lunar New Year, youth forums, volunteer actions," the organizers note
Songs will be performed in Korean and Kazakh languages. The audience will be presented with traditional Korean dances and playing Korean drums.
Athletes will show the Korean martial art - taekwondo. The program includes a demonstration performance of world and Asian champions, winners of international tournaments.
