Exports of goods amounted to 1 billion US dollars in Karaganda region

Karaganda region is actively increasing the volume of the manufacturing industry, since the beginning of the year, products worth almost 2 trillion tenge have been produced. The construction of three small industrial zones has begun in order to support small and medium-sized businesses: two of them are being created in Karaganda, one in Saran,El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the regional akim.

- This year, it is planned to implement ten investment projects in the manufacturing industry for 210.2 billion tenge with the creation of about 3 thousand jobs, - said Moldakarimov Alibek, deputy head of Department of Industry and Industrial and Innovative Development of the Karaganda region.

In addition, thanks to the state support program, 88 projects have already received subsidies and guarantees in the amount of 8.7 billion tenge. Large companies in the region, such as Qarmet and Kazakhmys, signed contracts with local manufacturers, purchasing products worth 97 billion tenge.

Exports of goods from the Karaganda region for the first half of the year amounted to 1 billion US dollars.

The head of the region, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev stressed the need for further support for the manufacturing industry and instructed to intensify work to attract investment.
