Exhibition of Afghan goods held in Almaty
On October 20, a three-day exhibition of Afghan goods started at the Almaty business center "Atakent”, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the Ministry of Trade and Integration.
This is the second exhibition of traditional Afghan products in Kazakhstan, organized with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration and the Qaztrade Trade Policy Development Center.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan Nureddin Azizi attended the official opening.
Over 80 Afghan companies and 150 representatives of the Afghan business community are presented.
The First Microfinance Bank, Islamic Bank of Afghanisan, Ghazanfar Bank take part in the exhibition.
"Kazakhstan views Afghanistan as an important and integral partner in South and Central Asia. Despite the global crises, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries continues to develop. Kazakhstan not only promotes its products to the Afghan market, but also contributes to the entry of Afghan goods into the Kazakh market," said Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.
The owner of «Haidar Rafat LTD», Abdul Basir, visited Kazakhstan for the first time. He presented a unique collection of national jewelries, copper jugs and antiques.
"I brought antique products to Kazakhstan, among which one of the most ancient exhibits put up for sale has an international certificate of antiques," Abdul Basir shared.
On October 22, Almaty will host a Kazakh-Afghan business forum, during which participants will discuss new opportunities for cooperation at B2B meetings.
